Have You Seen What Can Fit into Just 44 mm of Height?
Product Diversity is our motto, and accordingly, DSM introduces its new 19" 1 U Industry System. The variability of the 1 U Industrial System offers the customer a very compact system of low height which satisfies all the requirements for an optimum performance.
The main areas of application for the DSM 19" 1 U Industry System are to be found in the fields of Automation, Robotics and Metrology.
Fully mounted, the system weighs only 6 kg and can thus certainly be considered a lightweight among the 19"-Technology products. A high-quality 80 Watt power unit with separate ventilation and the licensing for CE, VDE, UL, CSA, etc. are all included in the package delivered. The system ventilation is performed by two fans located behind a removable filter mat.
Special backplanes, the so-called butterfly backplanes, allow the customer to operate either a 2-slot ISA or a 2-slot PICMG/PCI for the full-card length of 338 mm.
Optionally, the customer can have his 19" 1 U Industrial System equipped with either half-size or full-size DSM Slot CPUs with the 486 / 586 processors.
This lightweight device is technically so convincing because of its well-designed details, as can be seen in the drive options you can choose from. If you need to integrate an additional card or a DAT drive into the 1 U Industry System, DSM supplies a combination drive (CD-Rom and Floppy). We also recommend the use of a 2.5" harddisk.
For standard applications not requiring any additioinal cards, a simple version such as a 3.5" floppy drive, a 5.25" CD-Rom as well as a 3.5" harddisk is quite sufficient.
The solid sheet steel casing has the keyboard connector, the Reset button and the main power switch mounted on the front panel. A 19" assembly angle steel and a mounting flange enable the easy installation in a 19" rack.
Prior to delivery, the 19" 1 U Industrial System is subjected to a 48-hour Burn-In and is CE certified.
