Application Area
| BookSize for temperature logging |
It is only thanks to exact monitoring that the brewery can secure the quality of its products and thus an annual output of millions of hectoliters of beer. To this end, prevailing climatic data has to be continuously logged in the brewhouse and in the fermenting room and stored over a long duration. A reliable and robust B2 industrial PC from DSM Computer GmbH’s BookSize family performs these tasks.
| NanoServer® as a visualization platform |
In modern screen-printing processes, many different forms of packaging containers are printed with increasingly complex themes and colors. In order to ensure high product quality, the printed surfaces have to be inspected and corrected in a subsequent inspection process. An embedded computer from DSM’s NanoServer® family performs the controlling.
| Panel PCs between human and machine |
The Infinity® Panel Systems are utilized as industrial computer systems between human and machine in various industrial applications. Optionally, the system can be equipped with touch, in order to thus be able to input all necessary functions and parameters directly via the display. It can be built in or mounted on a rotary arm using a VESA mount.
The Infinity® Panel PC and the Infinity® display system in conjunction with a DSM controller unit have a variety of applications, including POI/POS, medical engineering, automation, robotics or general state monitoring in large-scale machine parks.
| Galaxy® monitors assembly of rear axles |
Building automobiles is precision work. This applies not only to the electronics built into the vehicle, but also crucially to the assembly of the mechanical components. An example of this is the press fitting of the spherical bearing on the axle carrier of the rear axle. The robust, modularly constructed Galaxy® Control Cabinet PC from DSM Computer monitors the process and ensures smooth implementation.
| DSM Infinity® IPC performs controlling and monitoring of painting robots in the automotive industry |
The painting of vehicles is a particularly complex work process, which is undertaken in a number of individual steps. The chassis moves through the individual painting stations via a hanging conveyor. The robots, which are positioned to the side of the line, pressure-spray the paint onto the vehicle. To increase adherence, the chassis is first placed in an electrostatic immersion bath. In the subsequent painting process, the paint adheres much better to the vehicle and is also distributed more evenly. The DSM Infinity® IPC controls and monitors thereby the individual work steps of the painting process. In this way, a seamless painting process for chassis parts is ensured.
| Embedded Systems for renewable energies |
Wind energy is among the key renewable energy sources in Germany. Compact Embedded Systems from the DSM Computer NanoServer® family can be used for data acquisition and transfer. The robust IPCs function in a wide range of temperatures and are therefore ideally suited to outdoor environmental conditions.
