Customized 19” data acquisition system

This high-end server is conceptualized for various applications in the field of measuring engineering for signal processing and the evaluation of signal reproduction and storage. The main feature of this system is the extremely large volume of incoming data, which is recorded, stored and archived for subsequent evaluation. There are two slots each with five hard disks forming a RAID unit for the storage of security-critical data. A complete customer-specific development has been undertaken here, including all sheet metal components, to comply with these requirements. The data acquisition system comprises an industrial computer with a user interface, several signal interface modules and a storage medium. In order to retain a good overview of all processes, a 10-inch high-resolution display with controller is built in. At the front of the housing, there are testers that can be programmed on a customer-specific basis. At the back, it is possible to insert additional cards for the more rapid transfer of large volumes of data via Ethernet. The data acquisition system is fully housed in an especially robust stainless steel housing, developed on a customer-specific basis. It is dust-proof and conceptualized for the particular requirements of the protection class.

Customized Embedded PC

The customer-specific computer was developed and produced on the basis of an Embedded PC. The systems were built into the cabins of a cruise ship whilst at sea. The computer units are centrally controlled via a server, which provides the passengers with key information about their voyage. Hidden, fanless and hermetically encapsulated: the embedded system is also maintenance-free and offers the passenger the possibility to book tickets, trips and restaurants via the TV channel.
As a result of the limited dimensions available that the system was to have and also the extremely security-conscious requirements of the shipping company, the system was uniquely conceptualized. It took just three months from the development to the start of serial production – further proof that customer-specific developments are not time-consuming or cost-intensive.

Customized Panel PC

When manufacturing wafers for the semiconductor market it is important to ensure that the coating is subjected to a continuous monitoring process, because even the smallest deviation would immediately destroy the sensitive wafers and therefore render an entire production series unusable. The DSM Panel System monitors the individual production steps of the coating process and can react to any change before cost-intensive outages occur. In the case of the customer-specific development it was ensured that in addition to a pre-defined system size, further key features are available. The housing is made of high-quality stainless steel and a touch pen is used to operate the system. This simplifies operation of the Panel System for production personnel, who in addition to protective clothing also wear special gloves for cleanroom work. The fanless industrial Panel System is thus hermetically encapsulated as defined by its protection class.
