The DSM Computer AG celebrates its 25-year company anniversary
On this day, DSM Computer, the specialist for industrial PCs and embedded systems, can look back over 25 years of successful company history. As already in the past, but also in future, the partnership relationship of the mid-sized company to its customers in accordance with the slogan "Hand in Hand to Success" will play a decisive role. Bernd Gallenberger, CEO of DSM Computer AG, stated: "What this means is to understand the application of the customer, so together we can provide the optimum solution. On the basis of generally applicable long-term development standards and proven components, we can develop and manufacture new innovative products fast and at low cost."
Already in the 1980s, DSM introduced the "modular technology": for the first time, instead of a motherboard, a slot CPU card with a separate passive bus circuit board was offered. In the course of time, DSM’s modular concept has established itself throughout the industry so that today a wide range of standardized components is available long-term.
Another DSM Computer milestone was in 2000 the change of the business form to become a public corporation. The extended business possibilities allowed the development and production capacities in Munich to be expanded. For example, a new building with additional production lines was erected in 2004/2005, and one year later the production and test processes were further optimized and automated. The production in Germany guarantees the customer, even for larger numbers of units, short delivery times and permits the direct checking of the product quality. Namely, "Made in Germany" for DSM still means reliability, quality and trust.
For the next 25 years and beyond, Bernd Gallenberger plans to continue the organic growth: "Not only with our enthusiastic and qualified team and many long-term partnerships, but also with many new customers, we can await a positive future together." Today, DSM offers solutions not only for the industrial automation, but also for robotics, measurement, medicine, safety engineering, transportation, POI/POS, telecommunications and the automotive market.
