DSM Computer presents a modular panel system with touchscreen
DSM Computer's "P4" Infinity-Panel system (96M9331) presented for the first time at the SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2006 is equipped with a high-quality 15-inch TFT color monitor. If required, the rugged PC can also be supplied with 17-inch or, in future, a 19-inch display. The maximum resolution is 1024 x 768 pixels for the 15-inch version with light intensity of 350 cd/m². The integrated analog resistive touchscreen allows the possibility of realizing customized user interfaces.
As standard, the "P4" Panel system is equipped with an Intel® Celeron® M 373 (ULV, 1.0 GHz Dothan). The use of this ultra-power-saving main processor means the computer does not need a fan when used in the specified operating temperature range of 0 to 45 °C. If a fan is used, the "P4" can also be equipped with an Intel® Celeron® M 370 (1.5 GHz Dothan) or an Intel® Pentium® M 745 (1.8 GHz Dothan).
The integrated Intel® Extreme Graphics 2 VGA controller with MPEG2 decoder and 64 MB shared memory guarantees a high picture quality. The standard size of the DDR RAM main memory is 128 MB, but can be expanded to 1 GB.
The onboard Intel® GigaBit LAN controller permits the fast and reliable transfer of process and production data over a 10/100/1000 Base-T/TX network connection. As an option, a Dual-LAN network can be established. A total of six USB 2.0 ports are available for the transfer of graphical data and fast data backup. A special feature of the "P4" Panel System are two USB interfaces on the front panel protected by a cover. This makes it easy to transfer data from a USB stick or to connect a scanner or other input devices. In addition, two PS/2 connections, a LAN and an audio interface ensure a high-degree of flexibility.
A 2.5-inch EIDE hard disk with a capacity of 40 GB or larger can be used to store large volumes of data. If required, a CD/DVD-ROM drive (slimline) or, for the fast storing of small amounts of data, a Compact Flash socket, can be provided. Two PCI slots, one of which is shared with a 5.25-inch slimline drive complete the offered product.
The "P4" Panel System is supplied in a massive (painted according to customer specifications) industrial housing with VESA screwed connection or as plug-in system.
