DSM has expanded its Infinity Panel PC series with a 6-slot version
With the Infinity Panel PC 96M9315B from DSM Computer AG presented at the Embedded World 2005 trade fair, four of the six slots are freely available to the user. The 482 x 252 x 396 mm (W x D x H) IPC is equipped with a 15" TFT color display which has a maximum resolution of 1024 x 768.
The processor performance of the 96M9315B is impressive: The panel PC is available with an Intel Pentium III 1.0 GHz processor, optionally even with a Pentium III module up to 1.4 GHz or Pentium 4. Two DDR slots can each take 32 to 1024 MB modules. As standard, the IPC is equipped with a 256 MB DDR-RAM.
Numerous interfaces support the customer-specific adaptation for the required functionality. The two serial ports can be configured as RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 interfaces. In addition, a Centronics-compatible parallel interface (SPP, ECP/EPP bi-directional) and two USB 2.0 connections are available. Various drives such as the 20 GB EIDE brand hard disk (or larger) as well as optionally a CD/DVD ROM drive (slimline) or a 3.5" floppy disk drive can be connected. The four free module slot are configured as ISA slots or three as PCI slots. An internal CompactFlash socket rounds off the offer.
The integrated power supply is dimensioned for 300 Watt, if required, for 465 Watt. The CPU requires a cooling unit within the operating temperature range of 0 to 50° C.
The 96M9315B is installed in a massive, high-quality industrial housing and can also be optionally installed in 19" cabinets. The powder-coated front panel in 2 mm sheet steel or 4 mm aluminum can be supplied in all RAL and NSC colors, if required, also with the company logo.
In addition to the 48 hour burn-in, DSM also provides a one year warranty for the CE-certified 96M9315B.
