DSM Computer completes its 19-inch IPC family with a 13-slot version
DSM Computer’s 96M15803 19-inch industry computer from the Infinity family was conceptualized especially for high-performance applications for automation, imaging and robotics. The 4 U (rack unit) IPC is based on the recently introduced 96M1101 backplane and provides a total of 13 slots in order to expand the long-term available computer in accordance with customer requirements in a modular way.
The 96M15803 is installed with the 96M4312 slot CPU card, also newly developed by DSM Computer, and supports the PCI Express (PCIe) technology specified in the PICMG 1.3 standard. The industry computer has three PCIe x1 slots for I/O modules and a PCIe x16 slot for high-performance graphics cards. In this way, the computer is ideally equipped for the PCI Express expansion cards that have recently come onto the market, providing in the x1 variant for example RAID, SCSI, SATA, Firewire, Gigabit-LAN, Video or Framegrabber functions. Eight classical PCI slots ensure that established PCI modules can also continue to be used.
In the price/performance optimized version, the IPC is equipped with an Intel® Celeron® M processor with 1.5 GHz and a 915GM chipset. The model is optionally also available with a Pentium® M processor with a clock frequency of 2.26 GHz. The DDR2 RAM memory with 512 MB supplied as standard can be expanded up to a capacity of 2 GB.
Quadruple USB, dual Gigabit-LAN, two serial and one parallel interface are available as standard interfaces. The system can manage four SATA 150 devices, two EIDE (e.g. DVD-ROM or standard hard disks) disk drives and two floppy disk drives. Fast SATA hard disks up to a memory capacity of 250 GB or larger can also be connected. Three 5.25-inch and one 3.5-inch drive slots provide sufficient space for this.
The 440 x 455 x 177 mm large 96M15803 computer is a solid, high-performance rack for installation in 19-inch cabinets or as a desktop for use in harsh industrial environments. The housing front can be supplied in all RAL and NSC colors and upon request also with a company logo.
In addition to 48 hours burn-in, DSM provides a one-year guarantee for the CE-certified IPC.
