DSM Computer extends its product portfolio with DSM Public Display systems
In particular for digital signage applications, DSM Computer has developed the integrated DSM Public Display systems, that combine a high-quality NEC® TFT monitor with a plug-in DSM embedded PC module to form a complete display system. The DSM Public Displays can run in stand-alone mode or, integrated in a network, communicate with a central digital signage computer.
To satisfy the various requirements of the wide range of applications, the compact Public Display system is available in various performance classes. The embedded PC module is based on the Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Mobile T7400 processor with 667/533 MHz front-side bus. Other versions integrate an Intel® Core™ Duo/Solo Mobile T2500 or Intel® Celeron® M 440/530 CPU. The processors operate together with the Intel® 945GME and ICH7M chipset and, even in the smallest expansion level, provide adequate graphic performance to allow an HD movie to be viewed smoothly on the monitor. An SO-DIMM slot that can accept 512 to 2048 MB-sized memory modules is provided for the main memory.
The update of the screen display with current information can be made using a high-performance Ethernet connection or also directly from the integrated 80 GB hard disk. Two PS/2 interfaces permit the connection of a keyboard and mouse for service purposes. In addition, two USB 2.0 ports, an RS232/422/485 interface and a VGA connection to operate a second display without computer rack are provided as external interfaces.
The Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950 integrated in the PC module offers the high resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The shared video memory has a maximum size of 224 MB. The integrated Realtek ALC 655, AC97 and the 5.1 Channel Surround technology ensure an excellent audio quality.
The PC module that is only 41 mm deep can be inserted without requiring any extensive cabling and without additional power supply in the provided monitor slot. The operating temperature range is specified as 0° to +40° C. The voltage monitoring and an integrated temperature sensor ensure the fault-free operation. As for all its industrial PCs, DSM Computer also offers burn-in and a two year warranty for the CE-conform Embedded PC module family.
The DSM Public Displays are available with the 40-inch NEC® MultiSync® LCD4020 screens, the 46-inch LCD4620 model and the 65-inch LCD6520L/P in the landscape or portrait format. The professional NEC® MULTEOS® M40 and M46 monitors can also be used.
