2008 was DSM Computer AG's most successful year
For the sixth time in succession, DSM Computer AG closed the hitherto most successful company year. With a continuing development of the product palette, the further expansion of customer-specific project solutions as the result of won design-ins and last, but not least, its independence from banks, the company is also well placed for year 2009.
The strategy with the focal areas "Standard", "Modified" and "Customized" that offers not only a broad base of catalog products with the possibility of project-specific adaptation, but also customer-specific project solutions starting with the concept and ending with the series product, has proved itself.
Although the sales in the three areas are similar, the largest growth, however, has been achieved with standard products adapted to specific customers and specific customer solutions.
In addition to the classic markets for industrial computers and display systems, such as automation, measurement technologies and plant construction, DSM is increasingly implementing projects in the industrial image processing, security, POS/POI and infotainment areas.
Just two years ago, the company extended the factory in Munich to more than 5000 m² and last year, not least because of the high demand for customer-specific systems, significantly expanded the development capacity. As before, the production is exclusively "Made in Germany" at the factory west of Munich.
