DSM Computer extends Bluebook® 2008 with new control cabinet PCs and BookSize PCs
DSM Computer is showing its complete product portfolio clearly in its updated Bluebook® issue 2008 with a total of 96 pages. Newly added are, in particular, the two just introduced system families, the control cabinet Galaxy® PCs and the BookSize PCs. In addition, the colored catalog contains the key data for all deliverable DSM Infinity® 19’’ industrial PCs, Infinity® Panel PCs, NanoServer® embedded systems and slot CPUs / embedded boards.
Because DSM Computer, in addition to the standard products included in the Bluebook®, primarily develops and manufactures customer-specific industrial computers, it is worthwhile to study the first twelve pages of the colored catalog. These pages describe the comprehensive service and the extensive support that DSM provides all customers for the development and production of individual solutions. The topics of the "Living Innovation" section range from "technology", "reliability", "production process", include "quality" and "customization possibilities", and finish with "industry sectors / fields of application" of the industrial computers.
The Galaxy® control cabinet PC family designed specially for the requirements of the plant and machine construction is based on CPU boards equipped with various processors. The Galaxy® G6 designed for high-performance applications is equipped with an Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor, whereas the low-cost G1 variant uses a VIA-C7 processor. The control cabinet PCs have four free PCI slots or three free PCI and one PCI Express x1 for accepting a wide range of long or short plug-in cards.
With its compact dimensions of 300 x 219 x 90 mm, DSM's newly introduced industrialized BookSize PCs of the BookSize family impresses. The principal application areas of the long-term available computers in book format are in thin client applications and in POS/POI stations (operator terminals). In contrast to desktop PCs, they provide maximum reliability and operational security with guaranteed long-term availability.
