DSM Computer presents its fanless panel PC with integrated keyboard
The P5 Infinity® panel system (96M9335) presented by DSM Computer for the first time at the embedded world 2006 technical trade fair can be utilized as a PLC due to its industrial suitability and system stability. The IPC is equipped with an integrated keyboard and a 15-inch TFT color screen. The maximum resolution is 1024 x 768 pixels with a luminance of 250 cd/m².
The core of the P5 is formed by an Intel® Celeron® M (ULV) processor with a clock frequency of 1.0 GHz. By using this particularly energy-saving module, the panel PC does not need a fan in the specified operational temperature range of 0 – 40 °C. The DDR RAM main memory provides a capacity of 256 MB as standard and can be extended up to 1 GB where necessary. The Intel® 82855 GME graphic controller chipset with 400 MHz front side bus and an integrated Intel® Extreme Graphics 2 VGA controller with MPEG2 decoder and 64 MB shared memory ensure excellent image quality.
For storing of large amounts of data, there is a 2.5-inch EIDE brand hard disk with a capacity of 40 GB or larger available in addition to the 3.5-inch and 5.2-inch drive slots on the panel system. Upon request, a CD/DVD-ROM or a 3.5-inch floppy disk drive (slimline) are available. Smaller data volumes can be very rapidly stored via an optional Compact Flash Type II socket. An internal mini Type B PCI slot with 32 bits and 33 MHz completes the range.
The integrated 82540EM Intel® Gigabit Ethernet Controller ensures a rapid network connection of the panel system via a 10/100/1000 Base T/TX connection with full duplex operation. In addition, there is also the possibility to realize a dual LAN network or even a wireless connection in accordance with IEEE standard 802.11b/g. In addition to two USB connections, two serial interfaces, one LAN interface and two PS/2 interfaces provide a high degree of flexibility.
Power to the P5 panel PC is ensured via a power supply with 100 to 240 VAC or optionally via a 24 VDC power supply. The solid industrial housing, which can be lacquered to customer requirements, is equipped with a VESA screw connector for universal mounting.
