DSM Computer AG extends the BookSize family with the "B7"
DSM Computer AG has extended the BookSize family with the model "B7", an embedded system based on the AMD® Sempron™ Mobile 2100+ processor in conjunction with the AMD® M690E and the SB600 chipset or the AMD® Turion™ 64 X2.
To allow flexible extension, the BookSize system optionally provides one PCI expansion slot for short cards. The computer provides space either for a 2.5" SATA II 300 or a 3.5" EIDE hard disk. To improve the temperature control, a 6-cm fan is contained in the housing.
The compact dimensions of the BookSize system (300 x 220 x 90 mm) makes it particularly appropriate for industrial applications installed in switchgear cabinet systems, for kiosk applications and for computing-intensive multimedia applications. For this purpose, the "B7" (96M1461) incorporates an ATI Radeon X1250 VGA with 256 MB shared memory VGA and dual-channel LVDS support. In addition, a Realtek ALC262 HD audio controller and a dual Realtek RTL8111C Gigabit LAN connection are also provided.
To connect a floppy or a CD / DVD-ROM, six USB ports are available; as an option, a Disk-on-Module or Compact Flash type I can be installed in the Booksize system. The power can be supplied optionally using an internal 60 watt power pack, 100-240 V AC, or directly from the 50 watt 24 V DC.
Universal metal rails for the space-saving installation on the floor or wall can also be supplied as an option for the embedded computer. The CE-certified system operates in the temperature range from 0° to +45° C. The BookSize "B7" model can be supplied in all RAL and NCS colors, also with customer-specific logo.
