DSM presents its robust industrial "P4" Panel System with AMD® platform
Like the complete model series of the DSM Panel PC systems, the new Infinity® "P4" Panel System provides with its compact construction and robustness an impressive solution in the industrial environment. The use of an AMD® platform specially designed for embedded applications allows the system to satisfy industrial requirements: high performance coupled with low power consumption and long availability.
Depending on the customer application, the system can be selected with either a 15“ or a 17“ touch screen.
The high-performance AMD® processor technology makes the new Panel PC suitable for sophisticated automation tasks and for processing large data volumes. The system is used primarily for the operational area of machine and plant control, for access control, for computing-intensive multimedia applications, as a measuring system and for the POI/POS area. The "P4" can be installed without difficulty in existing switchgear cabinets or positioned at a suitable location using the VESA fastening system.
The Panel System has two PCI slots, two integrated LAN controllers (Realtek RTL8111C), which permit the installation of Gigabit network cards, and 8 x USB (six external of which two are on the front panel and two are internal). The integrated ATI Radeon X 1250 VGA graphic chip with 256 MB dual-channel shared memory with LVDS support provides excellent image quality. To increase the system availability and data security, a 2.5-inch SATA II 300 RAID-capable hard disk drive and other additional optical drives, such as CD/DVD-ROM as interchangeable medium, can be installed.
As an option, Disk-on-Module or Compact Flash type I is available to allow fan-free operation.
In the standard variant, the Panel System is equipped with the AMD® Turion™ 64 x2 Dual-Core Mobile TL-56. The ultra-low-power AMD® Sempron™ 2100+ Mobile in conjunction with the AMD® M690E and SB600 chipset allows the industrial system to operate without fans. The main memory can be expanded optionally to a maximum size of 8 GB. The Panel System operates in the temperature range of 0° to +50° C. The power can be provided either with a 100-240 VAC external power pack or directly from the 24 VDC supply.
The Infinity® "P4" Panel PC that provides the proven DSM long-term availability is available in all RAL and NCS colors, also with customer-specific logo.
