DSM Computer presents SBC with RAID capability and guaranteed long-term availability DSM Computer's "96M4281o" BlueBoard® SBC based on Embedded Roadmap components with guaranteed long-term availability is specially designed for industrial automation. The manufacturer guarantees up to five years delivery availability and so protects the customers' investments in the base platform and the software. For optimization to the associated requirement, the "96M4281o" BlueBoard® SBC computing power can be scaled. An Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Mobile or an Intel® Core™ Duo/Solo Mobile is used in the upper and medium performance range. Both processors have a fast front-side bus that operates at 667/533 MHz. As third variant, the plug-in card can be equipped with a low-cost Intel® Celeron® M processor (4xx/5xx). The maximum 4 GB main memory on two DDR2 modules guarantees short response times. The "96M4281o" BlueBoard® based on the Intel® 945GME and ICH7M-DH chip set has RAID 0,1 capability to realize the organization of several physical hard disks to form a RAID unit to allow the saving of large data volumes. The mirrored storage of the data on two hard disks increases significantly the data security. The hard disks connected using a SATA interface permit the connection of two drives. The Intel® Matrix Storage Manager integrated in the ICH7M administers the hard disks. The provided IDE interface also allows the connection of two additional drives. An internal Compact Flash socket and a mini-PCI slot complete the system. The wide choice of interfaces allows the flexible application possibilities of the "96M4281o" module that conforms to PICMG 1.0. The availability of eight USB 2.0 ports should also be emphasized. The integrated Intel® 82573L LAN controller allows the implementation of a high-performance Dual GigaBit LAN connection. The Intel® Graphic Media Accelerator 950 VGA (PCI Express x16) integrated in the Intel® 945GME chip set offers the maximum analog resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. The Intel® Dynamic Video Memory technology permits flexible configuration of the dynamic graphic memory. Whereas an LVDS connection is realized internally, the DVI is supported externally. The controller also provides full HD capability. The "96M4281o" BlueBoard® has physical dimensions of 338 x 122 mm. The system hardware monitor for monitoring the voltage and temperature values ensures the fault-free operation of the module with its specified operating temperature range of 0 to 60 °C.
