DSM Computer presents a low-noise 4 U 19-inch industrial PC
DSM Computer's "96M1594" ATX-Infinity® industrial PC is now available in an extremely low-noise variant. With regard to noise emission, the four HM computer conforms to the requirements of the "Blue Angle" environmental label (RAL-UZ 78 Version 01.2007) for personal computers. This means the "96M1594" is suitable for use in noise-sensitive environments, for example, in a control room, in a machine room or in medical engineering applications.
The low noise level of the powerful IPC is achieved by the installation of a silent front fan that can be optimally regulated using pulse width modulation. Furthermore, the BIOS can be activated in silent mode so that the computer runs in low-noise idle mode.
The "96M1594" 19-inch computer in its "silent running" version is equipped with the high-performance Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor. The four DIMM slots allow the single/dual channel main memory (667/533/400 DDR2 SDRAMs) to be expanded to a maximum capacity of 4 GB. The Intel® Graphic Media Accelerator 950 VGA integrated in the Intel® 945G chip set allows a high resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels @ 75 Hz.
Its wide selection of interfaces, eight USB 2.0 ports, two PS/2 for mouse and keyboard, two COM, LPT, Audio, Gigabit-LAN and VGA, allows a range of external devices to be flexibly connected to the industrial PC. Furthermore, a PCI Express™ x16, two PCI Express™ x1 and four long PCI slots are available for customer applications. Four serial ATA II 300 connections for up to four drives and two enhanced IDE and two FDD ports complete the product offering. The RAID 0/1/0+1/5 technology supported in the ICH7R bridge allows the implementation of several physical hard disks organized as a unit. The independent saving of the data on two hard disks increases the data safety.
In addition to four 5.25-inch drive slots and one 3.5-inch slot for a floppy disk, CD-ROMs, DVD-ROMs or hard disks, the industrial computer can be optionally equipped with a RAID SATA removable frame for three drives. To protect from heavy vibrations, the drives are installed insulated in a rubber-mounted drive cage.
