DSM Computer presents the slot CPU PCI with Intel® Core™ 2 Duo
to easily master computing-intensive tasks, DSM Computer has equipped its new "96M4261o" industrial slot CPU card with an Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor. An internal PCI Express x1 interface for LAN and a PCI Express x16 interface specially for graphic applications permit the data to be transferred fast and reliably thanks to the high computing power.
Both processor kernels can use a 1066/800/533 MHz front-side bus (775 socket) to access the main memory that has a maximum capacity of 4 GB.
The "96M4261o" slot CPU PCI based on the Intel® Q965 and ICH8 chip set contains an Award System BIOS. The internal GMA 3000 controller, which supports the DirectX 9, Shader Model 3.0 and OpenGL 1.5 multimedia APIs, provides impressive graphic properties. In addition, an advanced de-interlacing function and an MPEG-2 hardware acceleration are integrated. The dynamic shared system memory can be configured to have a maximum size of 256 MB.
In addition to two, or optionally also six, USB 2.0 ports, the module provides two RS-232 (16C550 FIFO compatible) serial interfaces and a serial COM2 interface for either RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485. A Centronics-compatible parallel interface completes the wide selection of input/output capabilities. The Dual Realtek 8111A GigaBit LAN controller with its two RJ45 connections permits a fast and reliable 10 Base T /100 Base TX /1000 Base T Ethernet-Duplex network connection.
For mass data storage, the 338 x 122 mm compact plug-in card provides a Serial ATA interface for four SATA 300 drives. In addition, two diskette drives for 360 KB, 720 KB, 1.44 MB, 1.2 MB and 2.88 MB are also present.
A system hardware monitor supervises the voltage and temperature values, and the correct function of the fan. The temperature range in the fan operation is specified as 0 to 55 °C.
