DSM Computer presents the slot CPU with Intel® Core 2 Duo and the Q965 chip set
With the "96M4261o" industrial slot CPU, DSM Computer offers a board that unites the Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor (775 socket) with the PICMG 1.0 standard bus. This allows the current Intel® processor also to be used on proven backplanes and systems.
Based on the Intel® Q965 chip set, the "96M4261o" slot CPU card offers maximum computer power coupled with a low power consumption. The two cores have extremely fast access over a 1066/800/533 MHz front-side bus to the main memory designed from two DDR2 modules with a maximum capacity of 4 GB.
In addition to the latest chip set and processor technologies, the plug-in card offers numerous I/O features. Two gigabit LAN (PCI Express x1) and two USB 2.0 (optional six USB 2.0) interfaces are augmented with two serial ports and a parallel interface. In addition, four SATA 300 drives for data storage can be connected on a serial ATA interface.
The Intel® Graphic Media Accelerator GMA 3000 (PCI Express x16) with Shader Model 3.0 contained on the CPU card is DirectX 9-compatible and supports advanced de-interlacing. Intel's Dynamic Video Memory technology allows the dynamic shared system memory with a maximum capacity of 256 MB to be configured flexibly.
An energy saving mode can also be set on the slot CPU using the BIOS. For an interrupt-free function of the module specified to run in the temperature range of 0° to 55° C, the system hardware monitor supervises not only the voltage and temperature values, but also the correct function of the fan.
